- Hoof Markings -

Blue Hoof: The hooves are of a slate blue-black color. Blue hooves are considered denser and stronger that white hooves, although there is no scientific proof to substantiate this.

White Hoof: The hoof has white horn; this is often seen where there is a white markings, such as a sock or stockings, on the leg.

Striped Hoof: The hooves have vertical black and white stripes running down them; this is often associated with Appaloosas and other spotted horses.
