The fundraiser cards are on their way! I ordered 13 of them, and will order more if necessary. They should be here in about a week or so, then I'll hand them out as you come to take lessons. Plain old donations are very welcome as well! If you'd rather just make a donation instead of participating in the scratch off card contest, you can do that too.

Remember there are tax deductions for donations to charity! Our charity of choice this time is the North Carolina Equine Rescue League. They will be receiving a portion of the proceeds. The rest will go to buying hay, new equipment for the arena, wood and building materials for the barn and new tack room, new saddles, and whatever else is badly needed.

The Flintrock Farm show is next weekend! We'll be getting the horses ready on Friday night, September 14th. So far Lauren, Sydney, Ian, Emory, Kendall, and Mariah are going to be showing. If there's enough time and classes, maybe I'll show as well! The address for Flintrock is: 221 Flintrock Trl Reidsville, NC 27320 (336) 349-4723

Classes will begin at 9am. I'll have all the classes worked out before hand ' who's going in what classes, on which horse ' by that morning, so you can collect the classes from me. We may only be taking one horse; we'll see about that. Classes cost $8 per class, or $50 to show all day (if you're in more than 6 classes, this is a better deal). There are 20-25 classes that Equine Kingdom students are eligible to participate in ' so there will be plenty to go around, even if we only have one horse to use!

The new horses are here! Enoch is a 19 year old paint gelding. He's for the intermediate riders, and boy is he a nice ride! He's a bit headstrong at the trot, but other than that he's such a good boy! Very smooth canter and fantastic little jumper. Tigger is a 5 year old Appendix Quarter Horse mare. She's my new baby, my project horse! What a handful, too. She will need a lot of work! Feel free to feed her all the carrots you want. ;)

More updates later.
