- Pahlavan -

The Pahlavan breed has been produced at the former Royal Stud in Iran since the 1950s by combining Persian Arab blood with Thoroughbred blood. The Pahlavan is larger than either of the aforementioned breeds, stands around 15.3 hh, and comes in all solid colors. They are used for racing and jumping purposes.
