There are two types of Sicilian horse
- those from the east are of a higher quality and lighter than the
inland types, which are in turn slightly more robust. Although these
highly strung horses are not particularly hardy, they do exhibit
great stamina. They are found to be quite useful for riding and
light draft work. Their usual colors are bay, black, gray, and chestnut,
and their average height is betweem 14.3 and 15.2 hh.
